Oh Good, I Woke Up

So, I took the pill last night, laid down in bed and waited. I actually could feel myself falling asleep. It was kinda weird. I was a little nervous that I would not wake up.....but I did. I actually woke up for a minute or two a couple of times during the night and I remember thinking "I shouldn't be waking up, I am supposed to sleep all night long", then zzzzzzzzz back to sleep. As far as I know I didn't drive my car, cook. eat or have sex while I was sleeping. If I did it wasn't memorable. Since it took me 20 minutes to scrape the ice off my car this morning I kind of wish I would have warmed up my car in my sleep!

Sleeping Pills

I am not a good sleeper, probably haven't had a good night's sleep in decades :) So today I had a Dr appt to get some drug refills and whine for a while (after all I hadn't been there in 14 months so I had to get my money's worth out of my co-pay) and I mentioned my lack of sleep. I asked if there were any affordable sleep aids out there. My doctor wrote me a prescription for Ambien. I asked about the "weird" side effects. He said he has about 100 patients on it and only one had sleepwalking problems. So I got it filled and will be taking it soon. It's so much pressure....you need to be sure you have 7 or 8 hours to devote to sleeping if you want to take it. I figure if I take it at midnight and set my alarm for 7:30 I should be good. Here are the side effects: After taking this drug, some people have gotten out of bed and driven vehicles while not fully awake (great). People have sleepwalked, prepared/eaten food (good excuse for diet failure), made phone calls (I appologize in advance for this), or had sex while not fully awake (no comment). Often these people do not remember these things. Kinda gives you a free pass to be a slutty glutten who talks on the phone while driving half asleep! Nice! Oh crap, only 15 minutes to bedtime. Should I wear something nice in case I sleepwalk in the parking lot??? What pressure!!

That's What Dogs Lick

So no one likes the name Placenta (well, What's for Dinner and I do). My daughter's husband said "that's not a name, that's what the dog licks after the birth". We are not sure what kind of hospitals he has been to, but are pretty sure that there won't be any dogs in NK's delivery room. NK likes the idea of body part names but is not sold on Placenta yet.

Name the Twins

NK is having twins in June. I like to call them Hector and Gonzolas. I thought the naming thing was settled. Apparently she would like to explore other names, so let's play name the twins! This might be easier when the sex of the twins is determined, but start thinking!! Names that reflect their 50% mexican heritage would be encouraged. So bring it on!!

New Food Alert

The new food love in my life.....P.B Loco premium peanut butter with cocoabanana. Yum! It is natural peanut butter with chunks of chocolate and bananas. Could be the perfect food. Good on toast, on a spoon. Wonder what Talent would do with it?

Fat girl is still super cute. She is walking and trying to talk. Every so often she says a new word. Actually she whispers new words...it is strange. Now she is whispering hi and what's that. She likes the Christmas tree but can't touch it so she waves and whispers hi to it.

I found a new great show, "Whatever Martha" staring Martha Stewart's daughter, Alexis and her friend Jennifer. Apparently they always work together because they also have a radio show. Wonder if they have any kiosk ideas? I could get my friend, Angie and the 4 of us could go into business. I guess Nicole could play too since she will be out of a job soon. Anyway, the show features random clips from Martha's shows over the years and the girls make comments and suggestions about the segments. Ok, they basically make fun of Martha. Martha is the producer so apparently she does have a sense of humor. Tonight Martha glued sea shells on a mirror frame and Alexis and Jennifer made one along with her. It's pretty entertaining. The show is on The Fine Living Network which used to be included in my cable network but disappeared mysteriously a few months ago. It took a quick call to my cable representive and five minutes and the network was mine. Oh and 5 bucks more a month. Whatever Time Warner!

I read my horoscope for 2008 just to see how the predictions played out. According to my yearly reading..... in 2008...... I will have lots of money and will meet my true love and in a whirlwind romance surprise everyone and get engaged and or married before the end of the year. Yep, that sounds about right.
